The Risom Stool is made of maple or American walnut wood with belts in cotton or synthetic materials. The simple design, created by Jens Risom, was one of the first ever produced by Knoll. In the 1940s, because of the Second World War, the availability of raw materials was limited and the designer had the ability to create an object that was at the same time functional and easy to produce.

The piece is not only one of the pillars of Knoll’s history, but also the icon of a design that truly makes necessity the mother of invention.

Risom Stool is 43,5 centimetres high and its belts are available in different colours. The maple wood version of the base can have a natural colour of a black finish.
