Booken is the freestanding bookshelf and wall-mounted console in wood by Lema, designed by the British design duo Raw Edges. These pieces are a contemporary art installation that reinterprets the traditional concept of a bookshelf. This eclectic creation transforms the book into a material, challenging its conventional function.

Booken is a multifunctional, lightweight, and compact bookshelf that also serves as a small table and surface for placing items. Its design is based on a frame supported by legs with a distinctive geometric profile, from which wooden rods resembling bookmarks are suspended to hold the books. This design allows the bookshelf to transform from a vertical element into a horizontal one.

It is also available in a wall-mounted shelf version.
