The AJ Royal chandelier, produced by Louis Poulsen, represents an icon of Scandinavian design, born from the creativity of Arne Jacobsen in 1957 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (Radisson Collection).

Initially known as the AJ Pendant, this chandelier offers a segmented spherical shape, foreshadowing the use of basic geometric forms in the architect's subsequent works. Available in three sizes, it features ridges on the top that gently diffuse light upwards. The energy-efficient LED version provides 100% glare-free illumination.

This extraordinary design creation can still be admired today in the Panorama Lounge bar on the 21st floor of the SAS Royal Hotel, Copenhagen's first skyscraper inspired by those of New York, opened in 1960.
