The Enigma 545 chandelier by Louis Poulsen, created by Shoichi Uchiyama, features luminous shades suspended in an ethereal manner, supported by thin wires that create a transparent and lightweight effect. The name refers to the circles that seem to float when lit and viewed from afar. This design harmonizes Japanese elegance with Scandinavian simplicity, in line with Louis Poulsen's philosophy. The emitted light is glare-free, soft, and directed downwards, ensuring uniform illumination thanks to the shade design. The upper surface diffuses the light opaquely, while the lower surface reflects it optimally.
Since 2018, a black version has been introduced, amplifying decorative possibilities and offering a sober atmosphere thanks to the light modeling and channeling.
