The company's origins can be traced back to the 1930s, when entrepreneur Gino Chiarugi started producing living room and bedroom furniture on an industrial scale. After his death, Franco Dolfi took over the development path in 1960 and four years later founded a company that produced consoles and mirrors and soon managed to export all over the world.
However, the real turn of events happened in the 1990s, when the Arte Povera trend exploded. Clients seemed to love Dolfi's classic and padded furnishings, and as a result, the brand gained major international acclaim.
Today, there are two main collections: FD Collection, a complete collection that includes contemporary luxury furniture such as beds, sofas, tables and consoles; second, Sogni di Matilde, a collection of immaculate and dreamy bedrooms for children and teenagers, which was inspired by his daughter. (the name translates to “Matilde's dreams”)
Product personalisation is one of the brand's strongest points: through the wide selection of dimensions, colours, finishes and even the possibility of creating personalised fabric patterns, the company is able to satisfy even the most discerning clients.
Dolfi offers design services in many areas and sectors and for each project, they present new creative solutions which are up-to-date with the most current trends. Each project is different and they all have aesthetic quality and productive perfection that have always been part of Dolfi's corporate philosophy.
