Fritz Hansen
Fritz Hansen Dealer – Milan - Italy
Fritz Hansen is a historic Danish company that has been partnering internationally renowned designers since 1872. It produces high quality modern, Nordic style furniture that adapts to any environment, transforming it and giving it a new lease of life. Simplicity, minimalism and functionality are the underlying values of the company, which splits its offering into a Classic Collection and a Contemporary Collection. The first includes iconic Danish designs, while the second comprises innovative furniture pieces and accessories inspired by contemporary needs, designed by the likes of Jaime Hayon, Piero Lissoni and Kasper Salto - art and design combined, to create functional furniture with a striking personality.
Since 2015 and the acquisition of the Lightyears brand, Fritz Hansen has added to its offering a collection of high quality, modern style Lamps and Chandeliers: table lamps, chandeliers, standard lamps fully reflecting the brand’s philosophy, characterised by the perfect combination of tradition and innovation. These values are as alive today as they were in 1872 and have allowed the brand to expand internationally and to pursue its mission of producing furniture for the luxury design market, not just in Denmark.
Throughout its history, Fritz Hansen has been producing objects of great workmanship with a unique design and high intrinsic value. Over the years, the company has worked alongside leading internationally renowned designers to create unique collections meeting contemporary housing needs. Fritz Hansen has always revealed a strong bond with traditional values and with the idea of creating objects conceived as simple, original and timeless sculptures. Every detail is carefully thought out and produced to give meaning to the whole and make the product recognisable. Every product stands out for its strong personality capable of characterising its surrounding environment. Fritz Hansen furniture is the ideal choice for modern, cosmopolitan settings and for those wishing to furnish their home or office with elegant, luxury furniture.
At Fritz Hansen, timeless design is synonymous with utmost quality, or - to use the company’s terminology - Premium Quality. This is achieved by carrying out higher than average controls to ensure the highest standards of quality: materials, suppliers and production processes are carefully selected to meet every business requirement and generate the best possible customer experience. To achieve Premium Quality, machinery and procedures are developed internally, and every product is rigorously tested on site, before being put on the market, through regular use by hundreds of people. This testing phase is referred to as the Premium Check and constitutes an additional guarantee that the customer is receiving a product meeting the promised standards of quality. Once the product has been approved personally by an employee, the quality certificate is signed and sent with the product to the customer as proof of passing the Premium Check.
The style of the chairs, sofas, tables and lamps offered by Fritz Hansen fully reflects the Scandinavian tradition, yet from a new, more creative perspective, so as to enrich every corner of the home with elegance and innovation. Particularly worthy of note in the company’s product catalogue is the collaboration with Arne Jacobsen, characterised by simple, elegant, functional forms and by a careful use of natural materials to ensure exceptional comfort. The best-known products arising from this collaboration include the Series 7 chair, the Ant chair and the striking Drop chair.
