Lasvit was founded in 2007 in the Czech Republic by Leon Jakimic, whose family has been specialized in producing glass for 6 generations. Through Lasvit, he wanted to fulfil the most diverse requirements of a discerning clientele, creating design lamps and chandeliers to bring the Bohemian glassmaking tradition to the rest of the world. In Milan, you’ll find Lasvit in our Bredaquaranta showroom. We are a multi-brand store specialized in the sale of design furniture and personalized interior design projects.
Lasvit products stand out on the market for their authenticity, the result of a well-developed combination of artisan techniques and modern technologies. The company name is a blend of the Czech words for “Love” and “Light” to demonstrate the brand’s intent to create objects that tell stories and touch hearts. This is why Lasvit lamps are so all over the world. Architects have decide to use many of them to furnish luxury hotels in different countries and cruise ships. The installations are conceived to meet the individual client’s needs, and for this reason, they are unique, authentic and rich in meaning. Many of the most significant personalized projects feature architectural structures in glass, such as glass walls and facades. In addition to large, custom projects, Lasvit also makes a collection of more modest-sized lamps that are suitable for smaller public spaces, homes or offices. Well-known designers have contributed to the Lasvit catalogue, for example Nendo, the Campana Brothers and Maarten Baas.
Among the most loved products is the Glitters lamp, available in a tabletop version, a pendant version, and a floor model. When turned on, its pleated glass shade gives a magnificent display of ornamental light and shadows. Another intriguing product is the Candy chandelier, designed by the Campana Brothers, which was inspired by Brazilian candies in vibrant, upbeat colours. One of the most attractive floor lamps is Press, inspired by minimalist Japanese design. The shape of this lamp is a glass tube that has been pinched in the centre where the light source is housed. Its unusual shape makes it an interesting design object for people who would like to add a touch of personality to their home or office.
