The company was opened in 2005 by its founder and current creative director, Christian Benini, whose idea was to make wall paper not only with repeated motifs, like those used in traditional patterns, but also with high impact scenic macro-images.
His previous profession as an advertising photographer allowed him to see the high decorative value and possible adaptations in the furnishing sector that photographs could have if they were blown up to gigantic proportions.
The remarkable idea for this renewed decorative style was immediately appreciated by architects and designers, and has allowed Wall&decò to immediately find its place in the market. In just a few years, the aesthetics of wall decorations have been redefined.
Along with the original Contemporary Wallpaper collection, dedicated to indoor wall paper, Wall&decò later added two innovative systems with strong visual impact and broad technical value: Out System™, the wall covering system suitable for external surfaces and Wet System™, the ideal wall covering for humid environments such as bathrooms and showers.
