Falper's Freestanding Sink Collection
The new sinks from Falper look like monolithic columns free from constraints, which is the meaning of “freestanding”: essential aesthetics and minimal design, the result of a new bathroom concept. Falper wants to become the voice of a new image of the bathroom environment by offering styles and finishes which are normally reserved for the living room.
Examples of this are found in the Fontana and Eccentrico sink collections designed by Victor Vasilev in Cristalplant® Bio Active. The design was carefully crafted to create a hollow that hides the drain hole with an optical illusion involving full and empty volumes with double height. In this way, the freestanding sink is transformed into a sculpture to put on display in the centre of a splendid pure white bathroom.
Another example of essential monolithic forms is the Controstampo sink designed by Dario Gaudio and Vittorio Venezia.
