Altea by Baxter Wins Wallpaper* Design Awards 2022

Baxter won at the Wallpaper* Design awards with Altea, a piece designed by Draga&Aurel which was presented for the first time in September 2021.

Altea won the prestigious Wallpaper* Design Award 2022 in the category “Best Flashback”.

This exclusive design object was created from a combination of innovative materials like resin and vintage shapes, typical of the two designers’ style.

This suspended cabinet with a bold personality demonstrates the new style of inspiration that can be found the entire Draga&Aurel collection by Baxter. However, Altea is more than just a hanging cabinet. It is an asymmetrical triumph made out of natural wood, and its drawers and flap door are hand-decorated with spread resins. The resins convey a range of lively nuances that are very different from one another, in three colour variants: Wood, Myrtille and a precious Lilac resin.
