RIVA 1920 Introduces the 1st edition of Design Award "A seat at the table"

AHEC and RIVA 1920 have launched their first contest for emerging Italian designers. It’s called "A seat at the table", which is an English expression meaning “to take part in a discussion”. The brand’s intention is to help young designers to express themselves because they will have a central role in the future as they blaze the trails of innovative and ecological furniture design.

Four young designers will be selected and given the opportunity to get one of their projects produced as a prototype, and then enter it in a high profile exhibition where many people will see it. Their projects must be made from a variant of American hardwood, which regenerate naturally and are still used sparingly in Europe.

The entire production of Riva1920 was created with respect for nature in mind. Their products exhibit the expert craftsmanship of Italian furniture makers and the technology that is used to make long-lasting products.
