Mendini for Porro at the London Design Festival

The Mendini cabinets for Porro, on display during the London Design Festival 2023, are a vibrant mix of intensely colours and finely finished surfaces in cellulose acetate.

This Limited Edition collection called Linea is the extraordinary result of research conducted in the Archivio Alessandro Mendini, in collaboration with Fulvia and Elisa Mendini, to uncover designs that have never been published before. In fact, only 50 pieces of each of these creations are available. The exhibition features an open sideboard and a closed sideboard, both raised on a dark coloured base decorated with optical geometric patterns set between empty coloured spaces.

The radical design is striking, with inlaid details in red, dark blue and light blue brightened with shades of yellow and white, and enriched with black. The collection is Porro’s tribute to authentic creativity, artisanship, and timeless quality, as well as a celebration of the genius of design, Alessandro Mendini.
