Mediterranean Elegance: Albed's Quadra Doors in Barcelona
In downtown Barcelona, there’s a renovated home where the Quadra glass doors by Albed, designed by A STUDIO Architects and Andrea Arqués, act as a luminous connector between the kitchen and living room to create a permeable barrier that allows natural light to pass through.
It’s known as Casa B5, and it’s presented as a natural narrative with elements of wood, marble, linen and wool evoking Mediterranean style and Catalan identity. Oak floors and warm white plasterwork define the ceilings and walls, interspersed with soft curtains.
The custom-made oak furniture and the Quadra door system merge to form a homogeneous design. The spatial layout has been revised to suit the family’s new requirements, with a more compact sleeping area and a spacious and functional living area.
The living room features a long sofa in front of a fireplace framed in Emperador Dark marble and accentuated by a contemporary green carpet. Albed's Quadra doors, with slender metal profiles and Gris Matisse glass, elegantly connect the dining area and kitchen, allowing natural light to pass through and complementing the interior design narrative of Andrea Arqués.
