New Gruuve Sofa by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso

The new Gruuve sofa features '70s style and rounded shapes taken to the extreme. Inspired by a classic, the bestselling Lowseat chair, its shapes and volumes have been redesigned.

The new Moroso sofa system, designed by Patricia Urquiola, enhances and updates the pre-existing concept and the design of this new version has become bolder with soft lines that extend to the floor.

Gruuve captures the retro spirit of living rooms by reworking it through the nonconformist idea of the modular sofa in a contemporary style. The irregular fluid lines of the four modules in the collection are designed to convey a sense of dynamism to the home. Furniture made with this system creates surprisingly flexible interior design.

The charismatic presence of this sofa dominates domestic and public spaces because is was designed to be placed in the centre of a room, where it helps to create new convivial spaces.

Its articulated structure has a traditional sofa seat on the front and a more informal one along the backrest to make people comfortable while they talk and spend time together.

Gruuve can also be upholstered with custom printed fabric decorated with Patricia Urquiola’s designs.
