New Sixte Chair for Porro by Christophe Pillet
The Sixte dining chair is a fresh new piece in Porro's 2024 collection with a Parisian touch of style. It introduces an innovative dimension of comfort to any room where it is placed.
The essential and welcoming lines are inspired by chairs which were designed by Giuseppe Terragni for the Sant'Elia nursery school in Como. The new pieces are a tribute to the rationalist architect and theorist and his pioneering studies on the curvature of tubular steel and cantilevered seats, with the objective of achieving simplicity and practicality
The curved tubular steel structure creates a fluid design in the room. The chair contains two thick, curved cushions on the seat and backrest, both covered in leather or fabric with elegant visible stitching.
Displaying a balance of fluidity and elegance and a relaxed aura with a retro flavour, Sixte highlights the pleasure of contact with the materials. It was designed for spaces where people enjoy each other’s company for conversation and conviviality, both at home and in the contract sector venues.
In addition to the dining chair, an armchair and a stool with a footrest are also available.
