Federico Peri's T Chair design for Baxter stands out for being a spare and straightforward piece of furniture.
The chair's solid geometry gives it clean formal lines that makes it suitable for use with any decor or piece of furniture. Starting with a single component that serves the dual purpose of armrest and support for the lumbar region, the backrest extends into a "T" structure that is welded at acute angles. This structure is attached to the original part. The metal supporting structure of the cushions that are covered in acrylic fiber helps to hold up the volumes of the cushions as well as the soft cushioning, which has a varied density. The seat and backrest sections are provided with a birch and poplar plywood structure.
Its sharp, unfussy style suggests an understated elegance befitting of a luxury item that is a part of our everyday lives.
