The AJ52 desk was created in 1952 for the New York office of the American-Scandinavian Foundation by Carl Hansen & Søn. An iconic desk that embodies the harmonious synergy of Bauhaus principles, functionalism, and industrial design. At a pinnacle moment in his career, designer Jacobsen pioneered the use of new methodologies and materials to conceive this elegant and slender desk.

Its leather top gently adheres to a tubular metal frame, while a conical stainless steel desk lamp harmoniously integrates with the design. The desk features a letter compartment with a glass, wood, and veneer front. Below, a six-drawer wooden unit, supported by thin metal tubes, adds a sense of lightness to the ensemble. AJ52 Society is available in two sizes and options with or without a compartment and desk lamp.
