The PK52 and PK52A desks by Carl Hansen & Søn are creations by Poul Kjærholm, developed upon the request of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Leveraging his expertise as a cabinetmaker, the designer innovatively combined mastery in steel and wood in the table's structure. Suitable for academic and home settings, the Professor Desk PK52 seamlessly blends functionality and design.

Metal struts elegantly separate the two materials, creating a play of contrasts that gives the desk a dynamic and lightweight appearance. Moreover, the tabletop is reversible, allowing the user to work on both sides or use it for dining or leisure. This product, available in a smaller size as the student desk PK52A, provides the option to add a drawer for a refined storage solution.
