The materials used to create this style icon are a direct reflection of the designer's approach to design and manufacturing. Innovative Edge Lighting Technology, in which light sources are mounted around the frame's periphery rather than at the back, is responsible for dispersing light evenly around the room.

The diffuser is constructed out of painted thermoplastic polymer, and its base stem structure is composed of plastic polymers, which are well-known for their attributes of being both strong and lightweight.

The light's brightness and on/off status are controlled by a dimmer positioned on the power cord.
