The Taccia table lamp, designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos, is characterized by the unique union of form and function.
The Taccia lamp is comprised of several small but important pieces, and the outcome is a design that is both functionally flexible and aesthetically sophisticated. The indirect and reflected light diffuser is finished in transparent blown glass, and it is supported by the executive body, which is made of aluminium and is painted white. The encompassing and sinuous curves of the reflector are perfectly balanced by the firm and angular bevelled volumes of the base body, which is built of aluminium that has been coated in black.
The dimmer, used to control the light's brightness, is positioned along the power cord.
The aesthetic of this classic piece of decor is undeniably encapsulated by the balance between its constituent pieces.
