Risom Side Chair Knoll

The Risom Side Chair was designed by Jens Risom for brand Knoll in 1943. The demand for new furniture objects was very high in the United States of the time and this led Jens Risom and Hans Knoll to produce a collection of items with a simple and functional design: nowadays, these items are counted among the most important classics of the American modern movement.

The chair has a particularly elastic seat and backrest: they are made of cotton belts or synthetic belts. The base structure is in clear or ebonised maple wood or in American walnut wood.

The Risom Side Chair is exclusively suitable for indoor use. An outdoor version with different materials is also available.
