Set Up Shades Moooi

Studio Marcel Wanders design for Moooi's Set Up Shades floor lamp was inspired by the idea of making something fresh out of familiar parts. The surprise end result is a floor lamp that looks like a tower constructed of overlapping lampshades and uses the most traditional lampshade design.

The PVC and viscose lamination that makes up Set Up Shades is supported by a metal framework and has the capacity to house an incandescent light source. There are white versions of the light (models 5, 6, and 7) to choose from. Each number represents how many lampshade shapes make up the stack structure. The breadth and height of each of the three versions are unique to themselves and vary from the other two variants.
