Autoban is a design firm founded in 2003. Based in Istanbul, it is specialised in interior architecture and creating products designed for use in specific projects. Since its opening, the company has designed over 300 projects for luxury department stores, cinemas, coffee shops, restaurants and hotels.
Each product is designed to fit a certain space, by mixing high quality materials and minimal design with sophisticated lines. The Autoban style has been heavily influenced by the multiculturalism of the city where it is located, which is rich in contrasts between tradition and modernity and different materials.
Sofas, chairs, tables, beds and lighting are the result of different contaminations.
The Union collection includes a sofa, a table, a console and lamps that were designed to be used in a hotel room. It stands out for the use of natural materials with a strong tactile nature created through the artisan techniques that Autoban uses to make unique home furnishings with a high degree of design.
Tulip is an interesting family of lamps, made in the sizes “Man”, “Woman” and “Child”. The aspect that renders this collection unique is the base, a brass cage that is quite common in historical buildings in Turkey. Here, it is re-evaluated in a contemporary version as a Table Lamp and a Floor Lamp, both with unique timeless style.
The seating collection Nopa was created to outfit the Nopa Restaurant. Comfort and modernity blend in this particular and extremely ergonomic chair, characterised with a metal external structure that is contrasts sharply with the soft lines of the upholstery.
Autoban belongs to the De La Espada Group, a Portuguese company specialised in producing wooden furniture.
