Taraxacum Flos

In collaboration with Flos, Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni created the Taraxacum 1 pendant lamp.

Cocoon, a plastic polymer processed in the form of microfilaments and sprayed over the metal structure to create the illusion of a real silk cocoon, gives life to soft, enveloping curves and is the hallmark of this unique design. This particular material is elastic, robust, and simple to clean, and it enhances the forms' overall continuity.

Great energy is generated by the interplay between the structural steel parts and the cocoon-shaped light diffuser that covers them, which is a testament to the designer's remarkable command of technical means and the polished ability with which he exercises his artistic flair.
