The Frisbi suspension lamp for Flos, designed by Achille Castiglioni, is the undisputed star of the room thanks to its minimalist and adaptable form. It has retained its center-stage status over the years because it has stayed true to its exquisite and polished aesthetics.
Light is diffused in three different ways: directly, globally, and reflectively when it passes through the diffuser plate made of thermoplastic material. This is held up by three thin steel wires that are anchored to the load-bearing suspension cable, making it appear to be a real floating substance. A sheet metal reflector with an interior coat of white paint is positioned above the plate and attached directly to the suspension cable. The fastening mechanism for the ceiling is constructed out of a material that looks like black plastic fiber.
The Frisbi pendant lamp produces a light beam that is emitted, diffused, and reflected, which, when combined, produce an encompassing ambiance in a relaxed setting.
