The Up Series armchair, created in 1969 by Gaetano Pesce, was awarded the prestigious XXVII Compasso d'Oro ADI 2022 - Career Product Award, a prominent recognition in the Italian industrial design landscape. More than just a seating, it has become an iconic product of B&B Italia, featuring a distinctive and recognizable anthropomorphic design.

The limited edition "Compasso d'Oro Edition," numbered at only 500 units, dresses the UP5_6in antique gold CD fabric, with the spherical pouf in bronze fabric connected by an aluminum chain finished in corten.

Its main features include flexible cold polyurethane foam padding, a 100% jute fabric bottom with PVC trim, covering buttons in metal base and fabric, and bottom buttons in leather, with an anodized aluminum structure. Pesce's Up Series is part of the permanent collections of renowned museums such as the MoMa in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
