Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, and Pierre Jeanneret created the original version of the LC 11-P table for Cassina in 1934. They re-released it with updated content in 1935.
The rectangular base, originally created in marble in 1934 and later in slate, is the defining feature of the LC 11-P table. Cast iron support components lend an air of refined sophistication to this famous piece of furniture, which already exudes an air of refined sophistication on its own. These are created with cylindrical tubes whose terminal parts, marked by a huge circular base, impart a sense of vertical dynamism to the overall structure and to the upper floor. The horizontal progression of the natural walnut support surface is coupled with the vertical movement of the legs.
By virtue of the sculptural impact that the table has, it is perfect for any kind of setting and any kind of furniture, ranging from the most traditional to the most contemporary. Its elegance and versatility make it an ideal choice.
