Franco Albini was the one who came up with the design for the 839 TL3 table for Cassina.
This original piece of furniture's harmonious and sinuous shapes is able to give a remarkable sensation of lightness even to the area in which it is positioned, thanks to the table's ability to be disassembled and moved.
The table is built in the shape of a single block, with the parts of the legs that culminate in the final portion having wider bases in a circular section and rising up to the top with conical elements that support the glass support surface. The bases of the legs are wider than the circular section of the top of the table.
The structure's design and use of glass for the top create an illusion of weightlessness and virtual suspension in the air, drawing attention to the exquisitely polished Cassina wood.
