Description

Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, and Pierre Jeanneret displayed their design for the LC 6 table for Cassina at the 1929 Salon d'Automne in Paris.

The antinomy that exists between the support surface and the supporting structure is what gives this design masterpiece its legendary status as a work of art.

The circular section profiles of the metal base, painted in the hues of the Le Corbusier palette, are a nod to an aeronautical material used to separate the wings of aircraft.

The rectangular support surface has a reduced thickness, the small volume of which is highlighted by the base that lies underneath. The top is available in glass, wood, and white Carrara marble or black Marquina marble.
