Malmaison Carpet is a floral-decorated carpet designed by Christian Lacroix Maison for the Moooi company.
Due to its spherical form and predominately aquamarine hue, this object exudes an air of tremendous refinement and sophistication.
The decorations are influenced by post-revolutionary France, namely the fashion of Incroyables and Merveilleuses that was popular in Paris at that time. They may be identified as being of noble descent by their expensive, fashionable, almost oddball attire. The Malmaison Carpet injects an air of genuine optimism and a touch of the decadence that characterized its appearance into any room.
The carpet has a 250 cm diameter and is constructed of pile.
The Christian Lacroix Maison aesthetic is known for its vivacity, which is expressed through its use of vivid colours and upbeat vibe.
