Serpentine Light Moooi

With their pendant lamp Serpentine Light, the Swedish design collective Front creates a dreamlike ambience. The interesting effect of the illusion of movement is perfectly captured in this Moooi-branded product, which was conceived after some preliminary experimentation with twisting and tension on a sheet of paper.

The Serpentine Light is constructed out of a polymeric material and has a steel pendant. It also includes a light that can be adjusted and contains an incandescent light source. The curved construction and material that appears to be translucent both contribute to the light being diffused in a uniform manner.

The lamp's dreamy, enchanted shape is always a delight to the observer, and its remarkable elegance and light weight only add to this effect.
