Spini is rooted in ancient Florentine artisan traditions, because in the 1930s its founder, Ernesto Spini, began his business in a small workshop that focused on sculptures for doors and panels. After a more concentrated specialisation in carving frames, Ernesto Spini started selling his products in other Italian cities and abroad.

In the 1960s, the company passed from one generation to the next, and production rose sharply.

Today, Spini is a solid family-owned company, and through the years it has added more contemporary products that are still perfectly aligned with its pre-existing classic collection. A distinctive quality is its inclination to experiment with new finishes and materials.
